I love this bunny, he claps his ears to the tune of "If you're happy and you know it" Easter was very nice! It was wonderful to have Ava with us. She did well on the car ride thanks to a dvd player. She still is not a good car traveler. Typically I need to hold her hand or she cries. Barney kept her company and it was great. She also has slept 6 nights straight! A new record. When she first came home she slept through the night every night and after a couple of months that was it! She kept getting up. I always sensed that she did not like the crib so one night I decided to move the guest bed against the wall and secure it for her and from the first night in it she has slept! So we call it her queen sized crib and she now sleeps in the guest room...I don't care where it is as long as we get some sleep!
Ava's pictures came great and I cannot wait to pick them up. She was so difficult to get to smile! We worked for it for sure, all of us jumping up and down acting silly. The photographer gave her plastic eggs and she sat patiently opening each one looking for candy and occasionally she would glance up at all of us but would not smile. Then all of a sudden we got a whole bunch of great expressions.
We had a nice Easter Sunday with family at my parents house. Ava did not take a nap all day but crashed on the way home which was even better. She loved playing with her cousins. She is obsessed with being outside which is great. She discovered dirt and sticks and it is all she wants. I'm glad the weather was sunny even if it was not spring like--odd that Thanksgiving was warmer! I had off of work Friday and Monday so it was nice to be able to spend time with Ava. Yesterday we went to the zoo. She barely looked at the animals....we would be looking into a cage and there she would be looking at the trees and picking up sticks. Too cute!
