Alpha 4 have done a great job of setting up camp; the whole group are sleeping in tarpless basha hammocks, which means they can star gaze every night as they drift off. They are getting stuck right into their work and have already sanded and painted a school, dug out ditches to prevent road deterioration during the wet season, and are now beginning work on Barra Honda National Park’s trail system.
Alpha 6 have taken well to their new jungle surroundings. They spent the first few days building a highly impressive jungle camp, and are preparing to start work on the Rio Negro trail in La Cangreja National Park
Both groups are having a great time and have bonded incredibly well in a very short time. Highlights have included Oscar helping Alpha 4 to celebrate Chinese New Year, and Alpha 6´s nightly orchestra performances, using only the materials around them.
Keep checking in as we will have news from Alpha 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8 & 9 very soon.
